The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra return once again to their innovative annual tradition, bringing this one-of-a-kind concert to the Wilson Center in March 2026! Showcasing a fascinating blend of classical music and a variety of genres including jazz and electronica, Classical Connections is a true celebration of classical's lasting influence in wider music.

No season is complete without a rousing performance of Carl Orff's lustful and triumphant Carmina Burana and its showstopping O Fortuna chorus. Guest conductor Aaron Peisner joins the Wilmington Symphony to lead the orchestra through this roof-raising piece, joined by the Cape Fear Chorale and UNCW Choirs!

Composed of 15 top soloists, The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra is one of the world's leading large jazz bands ensembles. Their current band leader (and artistic director) is the great Wynton Marsalis, famed trumpeter and composer, who has played with everyone from Herbie Hancock to Dizzy Gillespie.
