Good Music Guide
No season is complete without a rousing performance of Carl Orff's lustful and triumphant Carmina Burana and its showstopping O Fortuna chorus. Guest conductor Aaron Peisner leads the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra through this roof-raising piece, joined by the Cape Fear Chorale and UNCW Choirs!
Originally derived from a series of Medieval poems, Carmina Burana has become one of the most exhilarating live experiences to be found in concert halls across the world and as one not to be missed whenever it's performed. As well as this hair raiser, the audience will be treated to performances from the winners of January's Richard R. Deas Young Artist Concerto Competition!
